About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Service Employee to join our team at Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT. As a Care Service Employee, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, empowering them to live a full and meaningful life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional and social support to residents, assisting them with daily life activities
  • Support residents with self-care, including grooming, bathing, and dressing
  • Assist with mobility, using mechanical lifting aids as needed
  • Contribute to mealtimes and social activities, promoting a sense of community and connection
  • Assist with catering duties, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support
  • At least 6 months of experience in a similar role in aged care
  • Availability to work on a rotating roster, including morning, afternoon, and night shifts
  • Genuine enthusiasm, care, and compassion for working with elderly individuals
  • Effective time management and reporting skills
  • Past experience working in a kitchen environment is desirable but not mandatory
