Procurement Strategist Job Description

This is a senior procurement role responsible for delivering high-quality procurement services to government agencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement management principles, policies and legislation, and demonstrated leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate procurement planning and sourcing strategies.
  • Provide strategic advice on innovative procurement solutions that deliver increased efficiencies and outcomes for Government.
  • Supervise and support a team of procurement advisors delivering procurement services to government agencies, including preparing procurement planning, sourcing and contract administration documentation.
  • Collaborate with clients to achieve effective and efficient procurement processes and outcomes.
  • Prepare documentation demonstrating a high degree of attention to detail, including procurement documentation, reports and briefs.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Advanced Diploma of Procurement Contracting or relevant qualifications.

Completion of, or progress toward, an Advanced Diploma of Procurement Contracting or relevant qualifications will be well received.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and constructively.

High-level written skills with the ability to prepare documentation demonstrating a high degree of attention to detail.

Ability to supervise and support a team of procurement advisors delivering procurement services to government agencies.

Experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
