Job Description

This is a pivotal opportunity for a seasoned professional to assume a leading role in supporting research development and commercialization initiatives. As part of the Group Research Development Team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice to researchers on funding opportunities and grant applications.

You will work closely with academic staff and colleagues at all levels to identify and develop successful grant applications, foster research collaborations, and facilitate budget formulation and project management skills.

This fixed-term position primarily based at Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan) or Gold Coast campus offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for learning and development.

">Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience or a combination of knowledge, training, and/or extensive experience in higher education, research, industry, or government.
  • Ability to assist researchers to identify, conceptualise, and develop successful grant applications.
  • Knowledge of international and national research policy environments, grant scheme rules, and current issues/trends in higher education research.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and research development skills; ability to work under broad direction and independently within a team.

A good understanding of commercial research and consultancy work, knowledge of the broader Australian research environment, and familiarity with philanthropic funding pitches are highly regarded.
