Lead Firmware Engineer for Wearable Technology
">We're seeking a highly skilled and innovative Firmware Engineer to join our team in Melbourne. As a key player in the Research & Development team, you'll be responsible for designing wearable tracking hardware that integrates cutting-edge technology with stadium infrastructure.
">- Firmware development: Develop high-quality firmware solutions for elite sports industry using Linux kernel for ARM Cortex-A hardware platforms and wireless firmware for ARM Cortex hardware platforms.
- Team leadership: Lead a team of engineers to bring up new hardware from scratch, develop device trees, and boot chains.
- DevOps practices: Implement and lead DevOps practices, engineering processes, and design discussions to continuously lift quality and improve.
- Code quality: Drive best practices around code quality and organization throughout the entire development process.
- Technical guidance: Provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members.
- Communication: Partner with product managers to align on objectives, priorities, tradeoffs, and risk; ensure teams have clear priorities and adequate resources to execute on plan.

">Your Skills and Qualifications
">- Experience: At least 5-10 years of firmware development experience.
- Languages: Demonstrated experience programming with C, C++, and Python.
- Linux: Demonstrated Linux (e.g., Yocto/PetaLinux) experience including building the kernel, developing custom kernels, device trees, and developing Linux drivers.
- Wireless communications: Demonstrated experience with common wireless communications standards and protocols, such as BLE, Wi-Fi, UWB, and long-range/low-bit-rate applications.
- Leadership: Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational and time management skills.
