Electrical Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Operations Manager to lead our regional team of electrical workers and ensure the highest standards of compliance, safety, and technical excellence across various construction and maintenance projects.

About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing electrical operations, supervising teams, conducting audits, managing safety systems, and providing expert technical advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert electrical advice and consultancy to field staff, contractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Supervise and support the delivery of electrical construction, maintenance, and upgrade works.
  • Ensure up-to-date compliance with all relevant legislation, Australian Standards, and safety systems.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and WHS audits, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Support the delivery of minor air-conditioning and refrigeration installations.
  • Supervise the use of risk assessment tools and ensure proper recording of electrical testing and certification.
  • Provide accurate costing for minor repairs, upgrades, and electrical works.
  • Coordinate training, assessment, and performance development of apprentices and electrical staff.
Requirements
  • Current Queensland Electrical Work Licence – Mechanic or Fitter/Mechanic.
  • Demonstrated experience in domestic and commercial electrical installations with a high standard of compliance and workmanship.
  • Current General Safety Induction (Construction White Card).
  • Current CPR and Low Voltage Rescue certification.
  • Valid Queensland
