About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team in the field of paediatric brain cancer immunotherapy with an emphasis on vaccines. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their expertise and emerging research profile in their discipline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research: Produce high-quality research outputs by publishing or exhibiting in reputable outlets.
  • Participate in applications for competitive research funding to support projects and activities.
  • Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise students, recruit and manage employees, provide performance feedback and training, resolve conflicts, and ensure correct remuneration and benefits.
  • Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.
About You
  • Completion or near completion of a PhD in neuroscience, immunology, or cancer biology.
  • An emerging profile in research in biomedical research.
  • Evidence of publications in reputable refereed journals and presenting at conferences.
  • Evidence of contributions towards successfully obtaining external research funding.
  • Some experience in meaningful internal service roles and contributions towards external activities.
