Securing the Future with Vulnerability Management
Vulnerability Management AnalystThe role of a Vulnerability Management Analyst plays a vital part in maintaining the security of our complex IT environment. It involves safeguarding our organization's systems and data through effective vulnerability assessment and remediation.
- This critical position owns the vulnerability scanning and management tooling in FNZ, scoping, identifying, and assessing potential vulnerability findings across the organization's network and systems.
- Stakeholders are worked with to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities based on risk, generating reports on vulnerability status and remediation efforts.
- Recommendations are provided for vulnerability management processes and procedures, reviewing the latest information from threat intelligence sources to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
About the Role:
Key Responsibilities- Own the vulnerability scanning and management tooling.
- Scope, identify, and assess potential vulnerability findings.
- Prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities based on risk.
- Generate reports on vulnerability status.
- Provide recommendations for vulnerability management processes.
Required Skills and Experience:
- A proven track record of experience with vulnerability scanning and management, systems (i.e., Qualys, Nessus, OpenVAS, Kenna, Rapid7).
- Understanding of tools, techniques, and procedures used by modern attackers.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and methodologies such as OWASP 10, SANS TOP 25, MITRE ATT&CK.
- An appreciation for the strengths and weaknesses of vulnerability scoring systems CVSS and EPSS.
- Demonstrated affinity with IT security tools, technologies, and techniques.
- Ability to handle large data sets, e.g., in Excel, Python.
