About Our Manufacturing Facility

Pharmacare Operations is seeking a skilled and results-driven Maintenance Fitter to join our Melbourne-based team, working night shifts from Monday to Wednesday. The role involves coordinating machine-related operations, ensuring efficiency while upholding safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate machine availability and maintenance activities
  2. Install and commission new equipment
  3. Work with production teams to complete technical aspects of machine setting
  4. Train Manufacturing Technicians in agreed skills
  5. Plan and coordinate machine maintenance activities
  6. Source spare parts and maintenance consumables
  7. Maintain inventory management processes
  8. Ensure product quality and service within the factory is maintained at the highest possible standards
  9. Consult with Engineering and Facilities Managers for all technical tasks

Requirements

  • Trade Qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical fields
  • Working at Heights Certificate (desirable)
  • Confined Space Certificate (desirable)
  • Forklift Licence (desirable)
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills

Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in maintenance and machine setting, preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • Experience with machines in production processes
  • Ability to manage tight quality and efficiency parameters
  • Machine installation and commissioning experience
  • Mechanical fault finding skills
  • Basic machining, welding, and fabrication knowledge
