Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Dairy Production Manager to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating all aspects of milk production, including milking shed routines and reproductive programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage pastures and crops for livestock production
  • Develop and implement reproductive programs, including artificial insemination and herd fertility management
  • Assist in controlled breeding experiments to develop improved livestock strains
  • Implement calving procedures, including internal assessments to minimize stillbirths or injuries
  • Supervise animal health programs and maintain an optimal environment for the wellbeing of livestock
  • Supervise work routines and staff performance of less experienced employees
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance procedures

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • AQF Certificate III in Agriculture / Dairy Production (or higher equivalent)
  • Three (3) years of recent and relevant work experience
