Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat Wrapper to join our team at Costco Wholesale in Ringwood. As a Meat Wrapper, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of meat products for our members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and reassemble equipment sanitized the previous night, and rework display cases and rotate product.
  • Meat Packaging: Take large trays of styro packaged meat from large wheeled racks and place individual packages into automatic wrapping machines, following safety and security procedures.
  • Labeling and Inventory: Set labelers according to product type and price, print and apply labels to product, and put wrapped and labeled meat on large trays of large wheeled carts and stock in display cases by reaching through sliding windows or moving racks to the floor.
  • Meat Grinding and Quality Control: Operate meat grinders, dump meat into the top of the machine, and check fat content of each batch from the grinder, following proper department production procedures and standards for quality and consistency of finished products.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize areas throughout the day, and perform duties to comply with health codes, such as sanitation standards and maintaining proper temperatures.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance for machinery, equipment, and implements.
  • Member Service: Provide and ensure prompt and courteous member service.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects, and stand for long periods.
  • Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and varying shifts.
