As a leading researcher in the field of Cancer Biology and Machine Learning, we are seeking an exceptional applicant to join our team.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a prestigious PhD scholarship project that aims to understand complex materials systems at the molecular level using machine learning techniques.

Research Project
  • The PhD Student will work with tumour sections to develop multiple instance learning and weak supervision / spatial transcriptomics models to individualise tumour type, associated biomarkers and genomic characteristics to high precision.
  • Coding and user interface development skills will be developed as part of this project.

This scholarship is open only to Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents, or New Zealand special category visa holders.

Key Qualifications
  • Strong background in Cancer Biology and/or Machine Learning
  • Excellent coding and programming skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Benefits
