The Sanford School Department is seeking a reliable and hardworking Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our school facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform daily cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing
  2. Maintain the organization and cleanliness of supply closets and storage areas
  3. Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to management
  4. Assist with event setup and cleanup as needed
  5. Operate and maintain custodial equipment and supplies
  6. Develop and implement procedures for improving efficiency and effectiveness in custodial services

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous custodial experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
