Job Overview

As a key member of our Visual Effects team, the Environment Supervisor plays a vital role in shaping the look and feel of our digital environments.

The ideal candidate will oversee the creation of high-quality environments that meet the creative vision of the VFX and DFX supervisors. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing and delivering complex environment requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a highly skilled and experienced Environment Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Environment Creation: Oversee the creation of high-quality environments that meet the creative vision of the VFX and DFX supervisors.
  • Team Management: Manage and deliver complex environment requirements, ensuring artistic and technical quality of output from the team.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the Environments/Generalist team to establish best practices for efficient environment creation, including render testing, optimization, and publishing environments to the pipeline for shot propagation.
  • Project Delivery: Define delivery schedules and milestones in collaboration with production, ensuring seamless delivery of work between departments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: Proven experience as an Environment Supervisor, with capability in managing and delivering complex environment requirements.
  • Knowledge: Significant experience within VFX feature films, understanding of the VFX pipeline, and high-level knowledge of relevant VFX packages and software, including Maya, Mari, and Nuke.
  • Leadership: Proven team leadership skills, strong motivational qualities, and excellent communication skills.
  • Certifications: Strong working knowledge of 3D and 2.5D VFX processes and production pipelines.
