We are seeking an experienced Contract Coordinator – Parks to manage and coordinate the City's parks contracted service delivery and park assets.

  1. Plan, design, procure, manage, and deliver contracts for park services and assets at the highest possible quality standards.
  2. Ensure service provider compliance with specifications through effective performance management and monitoring.
  3. Deliver strong contract and asset management, including contract administration, financial management, and relationship management.
  4. Contribute to the planning, implementation, and delivery of the parks and open space program of the City's Sustainable Sydney 2030 Strategy and Asset Management Plans.
  5. Ensure park assets are well presented, sustainable, safe, and provide high-quality amenity for the community.
  6. Develop specifications, technical investigations, contracts, procedures, and other service delivery arrangements for park assets and operations.
  7. Engage and manage contractors, service providers, and consultants in accordance with the relevant contracts and the City's policies.
  8. Ensure quality service delivery and value for money.
  9. Collect and analyze data using City tools and systems to monitor issues and trends in asset and service performance.
  10. Research and monitor industry trends, establish service benchmarks, and develop strategies to improve management of the City's parks.
  11. Meet the City's legislative obligations and contractual conditions in relation to delivery of parks assets and services.
  12. Provide expert technical advice in relation to parks and open spaces management.
  13. Act as an interface with internal and external stakeholders, establish and maintain collaborative relationships, and ensure comprehensive communication and consultation.
  14. Coordinate and implement efficient and effective continuous improvement processes for the City's parks.
  15. Comply with and keep abreast of any relevant legislation applicable to the performance of the duties of this position.
  16. Adhere to all relevant Council policies and procedures.
