The Role: Audit Senior Manager

The Audit Senior Manager will oversee the audit process, establishing the audit strategy in collaboration with senior partners and ensuring adherence to internal guidelines and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality audit work for review.
  • Manage the audit process with a focus on risk assessment and technical accounting issues.
  • Balance hands-on auditing (40%) with leadership responsibilities (60%), including mentoring and delegating tasks.
  • Support and guide audit team members, promoting a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry developments to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Establish and confirm project budgets.
  • Present findings and discuss issues with the Audit Committee.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and documentation of internal controls.
  • Develop business opportunities and leverage existing relationships to generate additional work.
  • Assist with due diligence processes as necessary.
  • Prepare expert reports and draft invoices while managing client accounts.
  • Identify and recommend improvements in client business processes.
  • Lead internal training initiatives.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide integrated solutions for client needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • CA/CPA qualification with at least 6 years of experience in public practice.
  • Strong technical audit expertise.
  • Experience with ASX listed companies is essential.
  • Ability to perform analytical and high-value work.
  • Proven experience in leading high-performance teams.
  • Main point of contact for audit engagements, often liaising with senior client personnel.
  • Deep understanding of client needs and business operations, with a focus on improvement.
  • Proficient in writing technical reports and correspondence.
