Are you a skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Node.js, React.js, and AWS cloud technologies?

Milestone IT is partnering with a large company seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to act as a 2IC for the Dev Manager.

About the Role:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Node.js and React.js applications for high performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
  • Mentor and coach junior developers while taking on leadership responsibilities.
  • Architect, deploy, and manage scalable and fault-tolerant applications using AWS cloud services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Build containerized microservices using Docker and manage them on AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS).
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting tools for real-time visibility into application health and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues independently or in a team setting.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in Node.js and React.js development.
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing cloud-based solutions using AWS services.
  • Solid knowledge of containerization with Docker and managing containerized services on ECS.
  • Proficiency in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools to ensure high application availability and performance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize code for performance and efficiency.
  • Experience working on large-scale, distributed systems and microservices architecture.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Continuous learner with a proactive approach to staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
