Financial Strategist

As a senior financial advisor, you will provide expert financial insights and recommendations to support informed business decisions.

We are seeking an experienced senior financial professional with strong technical knowledge of accounting standards. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in finance, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive management reports for executive team members and monthly financial reporting and analysis for programs.
  • Develop budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Support financial systems transformation, including implementation and integration of Sage Intacct and other platforms.
  • Provide high-quality reporting, variance analysis, and actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, effectively communicating complex financial information for non-finance audiences.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance.
  • CA or CPA qualified or working towards.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in finance, in an analyst role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards.
  • Experience in reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Demonstrated experience in the human services sector, including fund/grant reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience using excel and business intelligence tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
