About this role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Procurement Specialist to join our Strategic Procurement team at Airbus Australia Pacific. In this key role, you will facilitate and execute procurement activities across assigned categories, contracts, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end procurement activities, including planning, sourcing, contracting, and supplier management for assigned categories.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive efficiencies and cost savings within the procurement environment.
  • Lead complex negotiations to meet our procurement goals.
  • Foster strong working relationships with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure operational requirements are met.
  • Maintain effective supplier partnerships, working toward transparent and accountable procurement practices.
  • Ensure all procurement activities follow company policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced team members to achieve operational success.
About you

To be successful in this role, you will need to live the Airbus Values, work with passion and determination, and be able to work to tight deadlines in an environment of continuous improvement. The skills and experience suited to this role:

  • 5-7 years' experience in procurement, with strong experience in sourcing and contract management.
  • Proven ability to deliver cost savings and efficiencies in procurement.
  • Deep understanding of procurement processes, systems, and tools, with experience leading procurement practices.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to make sound, timely business decisions in a complex environment.
  • Demonstrated success in leading complex negotiations.
  • Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Commerce, or related field.
  • Membership in a relevant Procurement, Contract Management, or Supply Chain organization is desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and change management.
