Job Summary

The Product Content Specialist plays a vital role in shaping user interactions and understanding of our product. This position is responsible for creating, managing, and optimising all product-related content, including in-app copy, help centre articles, product documentation, release notes, and user guides. By ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with our brand's voice, this role enhances the overall user experience and drives product adoption.

This role sits within the Product team, acting as a bridge between Product, Engineering, Customer Support, and Marketing to translate technical details into clear, user-friendly content. The Product Content Specialist collaborates closely with these teams to refine messaging, improve onboarding experiences, and provide valuable content that supports both internal teams and end users.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Release Notes & Product Updates
    • Write and maintain clear, structured release notes for customers and internal teams.
    • Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to understand new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
    • Ensure release communications align with our brand voice and tone.
  2. System Emails & In-App Messaging
    • Craft automated system emails, alerts, and notifications (e.g., password resets, feature rollouts, downtime alerts).
    • Optimise language to improve engagement and clarity.
    • Ensure emails are consistent with UX writing best practices.
  3. Help Centre & FAQs
    • Develop and maintain FAQs, user guides, and knowledge base articles.
    • Work with Customer Support to identify common issues and create content that reduces support tickets.
    • Ensure self-service content is clear, accurate, and easy to find.
  4. Internal Product Documentation
    • Maintain internal documentation for Support, Sales, and Marketing to ensure they understand product changes.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep product messaging aligned across all touchpoints.
  5. UX Writing & In-App Guidance
    • Write microcopy for UI elements, tooltips, and onboarding flows to improve user experience.
    • Work with UX Designers to ensure product copy is intuitive and user-friendly.
