We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our team at the Far West Local Health District. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment, providing expert leadership and clinical advice on pain management services.

About the Role:

  • Lead high-quality service delivery as a member of the multidisciplinary team in pain management, covering chronic and acute pain ranging from pre-operative and post-operative pain management to procedural pain, trauma, and disease-related pain, predominantly within the perioperative and inpatient setting.
  • Act as a resource to other healthcare professionals and services to enhance capability, knowledge, and delivery of pain management services, including pain assessment and management strategies.
  • Develop specialised education resources for pain management for patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert clinical advice and consultancy services to healthcare professionals and patients.
  2. Develop and implement effective care plans, focusing on patient-centered care.
  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
