Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Transformer Specialist to join our team in Perth, Western Australia. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of power transformer servicing, refurbishment, installation, fault finding, analysis, and technical report writing.

This is a full-time opportunity that requires the ability to work in remote areas within the state, offshore, and interstate as required.

About the Role

The primary responsibility of this role will be to perform work and provide technical support for HV Power Transformers. This includes achieving deliverables outlined in the 'transformer services' business plan, ensuring client requirements are met and expectations exceeded, and building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of experience in power transformers, including oil filtration and circulation, rectification and refurbishment work, installation and assembly of new power transformers, and site inspections and consultancy for power transformers.

In addition, the successful applicant will have demonstrated interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to fault find, diagnose, and repair transformers, including transformer oil diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve deliverables outlined in the 'transformer services' business plan.
  • Perform work and provide technical support of HV Power Transformers.
  • Ensure client's requirements are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Requirements
  • An electrical trade (current fitter/mechanic electrical license).
  • 5 or more years' Experience in Power transformers.
  • Familiar with Transformer components and accessories, such as Tap changer systems/ operation.
  • Ability to fault find, diagnose and repair Transformers, including Transformer oil diagnosis.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
