Job Title: Audiologist/Audiometrist

At our busy hearing clinic, we have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Audiologist or Audiometrist to join our team. The role is a 12-month fixed-term maternity leave cover contract.

  • Assess and diagnose the extent of client hearing loss using various techniques, including audiometric tests.
  • Report assessment results in writing and make referrals to medical practitioners as necessary.
  • Recommend solutions for clients with hearing impairments, such as amplification, implantable devices, medical interventions, and assistive listening devices.
  • Provide counseling, advice, and information to clients and families as part of comprehensive treatment.
  • Contribute to the development and management of noise control and hearing conservation strategies.
  • Deliver treatment and management for hearing and communication disorders related to age, disability, or acquired through injury or disease.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • University Audiology qualification or TAFE Audiometry qualification.
  • Current membership of AudA or ACAud (CCP).
  • Current QP number or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Excellent audiological skills and knowledge.
  • Exceptional customer care and service skills, with a passion for delivering outstanding client experiences.
  • Ability to learn and understand new software with training.
  • Proven ability to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Good team working skills.
  • Ability to network with general practitioners and other allied health professionals.
