The role of a Consultant Medical Advisor involves providing consultation and supervision to junior medical staff on a week-on-week-off roster. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to be assigned to experienced RACP examiners each term, connect with study groups outside MQ Health for RACP exam prep, attend practice RACP exams and clinical prep at other NSW hospitals, and work with leaders in subspecialties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consultation and supervision to junior medical staff on a rotating roster.
- Support junior staff in managing complex medical scenarios with advice and occasional reviews.
- Participate in educational activities or outpatient clinics during weekdays.
- Be assigned to RACP examiners each term to guide exam preparations.
- Attend specialty and subspecialty clinics based on interests.
- Work with leaders in subspecialties like Oncology, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Respiratory, Geriatrics, and more.
