Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Catering Team Member to join our dynamic team As a Catering Team Member, you will play a vital role in supporting the overall well-being of residents by contributing to their dining experiences.

About the Role

The Catering Team Member is responsible for assisting in the preparation of meals, serving meals to residents during mealtimes, and maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area. They may also help with cleaning kitchen surfaces and storage areas.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meal Preparation: Assist in the preparation of meals, which may include chopping vegetables, assembling salads, portioning food, and preparing simple dishes under the supervision of the Cook or Head Chef.
  • Serving Meals: Help in serving meals to residents during mealtimes, ensuring that each resident receives the appropriate meal according to their dietary requirements.
  • Dining Room Setup: Set up the dining areas before mealtimes, ensuring tables are clean, and all necessary items like cutlery, plates, and glasses are in place.
  • Dishwashing and Cleaning: Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, and maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area.
  • Resident Interaction: Interact with residents in a friendly and courteous manner during mealtimes, addressing their needs and requests as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Food Handlers Certificate: A Food Handlers Certificate is required for this role.
  • Adaptable and Passionate Individual: We are looking for someone who is adaptable, passionate, and willing to learn.
  • Collaborative Team Player: A collaborative and skilled team player who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
