Procurement Expert Job Description

The Procurement Expert will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by managing a robust and agile supply chain.

  • Analyze supplier spend, capacity, and develop overall supplier negotiation and engagement strategies to optimize costs.
  • Ensure work centers are clear to meet production deadlines and that quality control measures are in place.
  • Take ownership of work center material health, working closely with production counterparts and engineering teams.
  • Manage production process changes and design modifications.
  • Solve problems arising from late-breaking changes or shortages.

Required Skills:

  • Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, contract negotiation, or related fields; or bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in the same areas; or 9+ years of experience in relevant industries such as Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain Management.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel up to 35% of the work week, including international assignments.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed to meet major project milestones.
