About the Role

We are seeking a senior governance and risk professional to join our General Counsel and Risk Department.

This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer with experience in conflicts, compliance, or corporate law to take on a leadership role within our team.

Key responsibilities include overseeing responses to claims and complaints, managing business acceptance processes, and leading a team of professionals.

A strong understanding of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) regulations would be beneficial.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a conflicts lawyer or within a law firm's Office of General Counsel, or a senior lawyer with relevant corporate, commercial, litigation, and/or compliance or company secretarial experience.

Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, an ability to anticipate risks and develop solutions, and a high level of attention to detail are essential for this role.

You will provide training for all staff on risk issues and provide advice on contractual arrangements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Dentons' responses to claims and complaints
  • Manage business acceptance processes including conflicts clearance
  • Lead a team of 5 professionals
  • Provide training for all staff on risk issues
  • Advise on contractual arrangements
