About the Role
Public Sector People is proud to partner with a leading local council in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne to seek a dynamic and strategic Category Management Partner to join their team on a temporary basis. There is a potential opportunity for the role to be extended for permanency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic category plans to drive continuous improvement and value across various areas, including value for money, risk reduction, and triple bottom line outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders as a trusted business partner to optimize supply chain value and support direct service delivery to customers.
- Coordinate and manage strategic procurement processes for services/works projects, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Manage contractual and administrative matters, including tender documentation and evaluations, to ensure seamless project delivery.
Requirements
- Previous experience in government, not-for-profit, education, healthcare, or aged care organizations, or mid to large-scale organizations in a similar role.
- Tertiary education in a related field, such as business, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Demonstrated experience in developing procurement policies and procedures.
- Ideal experience in categories related to buildings, construction, capital works, civil projects, or service categories.
- Ideal experience working on projects of high value (>$100k).
