Job Opportunity:

The APS6 & EL1 Senior Lawyer position involves delivering high-quality legal advice to support operational requirements.

  • Provide expert legal counsel on legislative and policy matters relevant to business needs.
  • Prepare thorough submissions and make recommendations to inform decision-making processes under national regulatory frameworks.

The successful candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, well-developed written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to deliver precise legal advice in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Capabilities:
  • Law degree from an Australian tertiary institution (or equivalent) and admission as a legal practitioner in a Supreme Court of a State or Territory.
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: Administrative law, Commercial law, Employment law, Integrity and litigation.

This role requires the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will also be required to conduct legal research and contribute to internal training on relevant legal topics.
