Job Title: Operational Training Officer, Clerk Grade 5/6

Job Overview:

The role of an Operational Training Officer involves delivering training and development programs to enhance the capability and capacity of members.

This position will be based in Rhodes, NSW, with regular travel within NSW required, including weekdays and weekends.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training to address foundational and technical capabilities to NSW SES and partner agency personnel statewide
  • Facilitate/coordinate training courses and/or training delivery experience, including through flexible learning in a face-to-face, virtual, individual, and group training environment
  • Provide quality training and assessment coordination and delivery support to volunteer Trainers & Assessors in various NSW SES courses with a focus on Flood and General Land Rescue (GLR) capabilities

Key Requirements:

  • Hold a current Certificate IV Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or its successor/higher qualification)
  • Have current qualifications in one or more NSW SES Capability areas, or industry/other agency equivalence, including but not limited to: Flood Rescue, General Land Rescue, Vertical Rescue, High Clearance Vehicle (HCV)
  • Be flexible to work weekdays, weekends (up to two weekends a month), and evenings at a variety of locations across NSW
  • Possess thorough knowledge of AIIMS principles and processes
