Operations Manager Job Opportunity

The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing a team of personnel and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of projects. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the implementation of rural construction projects and resealing programs.
  • Oversee maintenance works on State Highway 12, including routine inspections and repairs.
  • Conduct risk management surveillance to ensure the safety of personnel and the public.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including data entry for Transport for NSW Auditors and Surveillance Officers.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Civil Construction and relevant experience.
  • Successful completion of an approved supervisors course or suitable experience.
  • NSW Class C Drivers Licence or equivalent.
  • Traffic Control Work Training Card (SafeWork NSW) and/or Certification.
  • Copper Cable Location Certification.
  • SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction card ('white card').
  • Transport for NSW Asset Inspectors Certificate.

This position requires a thorough working knowledge of Transport for NSW RMCC documentation and information technology systems, including word processing, spreadsheets, and internet usage.

Desirable Criteria:
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Safe Work near Overhead Power Lines Certificate.

Salary will be based on qualifications and experience, within a range of $87,897 to $97,319 per annum.
