Support Specialist

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Support Specialist to provide direct support and care to enable individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities to reach their goals.

This role involves working closely with two young autistic adults, providing personal care, meal planning, and documentation.

  • Provide personal care, including assistance with daily living tasks and medication administration.
  • Plan and execute meaningful experiences for the clients, including attending appointments and supporting therapy programs.
  • Communicate effectively with other service providers and families involved in the support of the young men.

You will work collaboratively with a highly skilled team, receiving ongoing mentoring and access to internal training activities.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Passion, reliability, and dedication as a support specialist.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to ensure a consistent approach to client care.
  • Experience or willingness to learn how to support individuals requiring personal care, manual handling, and medication administration via gastrostomy.
  • Effective communication skills, including report writing and verbal communication.
