Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Waste Management Specialist to join our team at Evolve Scientific. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient management of chemical waste.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sort and categorize chemical waste according to its classification and handling requirements
  • Conduct flammability testing on unknown waste samples to determine their safe disposal methods
  • Decant and dispose of chemical waste in accordance with regulatory guidelines
  • Unpack and inspect packaged waste for any signs of damage or contamination
  • Pack lab chemicals for destruction and ensure they are properly labeled and stored
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required to prevent exposure to hazardous materials
Requirements
  • Qualifications in Chemistry or a related field
  • Experience in safe chemical handling and management
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or store environment
  • Initiative and action-oriented with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
