Your role as a Nuclear Submarine Officer will involve overseeing day-to-day operations, including communications, navigation, armament, and tactical deployment of the submarine. Your typical day could involve:
- Nuclear reactor and nuclear propulsion system operations
- Onboard weapons systems management
- Atmosphere control and fire control systems
- Driving the vessel and charting its position
- Communications and intelligence equipment operation
Your training will equip you with technical expertise in nuclear propulsion, the platform, and its equipment. You will then move into your submarine qualification and oversee day-to-day operations, and you could one day lead the entire crew as Commanding Officer.

Salary:
Upon completion of your initial military and employment training, you'll enjoy a salary package starting from $113,239.
