High-Level Urgent Care Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Registered Nurse to join our team at our Toowoomba Urgent Care Service.
This is a vital role where you will be responsible for ensuring all patients presenting to the Urgent Care Service are identified as appropriate, triaged promptly and provided with frontline care in collaboration with the Urgent Care medical practitioner.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Triage of Patients: You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive and accurate nursing triage of all patients who present to the Urgent Care Service.
- Patient Care: You will provide high-quality, person-centered care to patients, families, carers, and medical practitioners.
- Procedure Work: You will perform procedural work such as suturing and plastering as required.
- Documentation: You will ensure that all documentation is completed accurately and promptly.
- AHPRA Registration: You must be an AHPRA registered nurse.
- Availability: You will need to be available evenings and weekends.
- Certifications: You will need to provide a Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
- Experience: Previous experience in triage within an emergency department, remote nursing, or ICU is preferred, or a minimum of 3 years of experience in acute care settings.
- Communication Skills: You will need to have strong communication skills both verbal and written, and a high level of critical thinking.
