Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking a skilled mechanical fitter to join our team. As a trade-qualified professional, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our production process.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Carrying out preventative maintenance programs for processing, packaging, cooling & heating systems to ensure optimal performance;
    • Responding to breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize downtime and reduce losses;
    • Performing scheduled and ad-hoc safety checks as per instructions to guarantee a safe working environment;
  • Investigations and Improvement
    • Investigating failures and making recommendations to reduce risk and improve systems/processes;
    • Participating in continuous improvement activities to enhance our processes and productivity;
  • General Maintenance
    • Performing general maintenance within a factory environment, including filling machines, packaging equipment, boilers, and refrigeration systems;

To be considered for this position, you will require:

  • A relevant trade qualification as a mechanical fitter;
  • Experience in an FMCG packaging environment preferred;
  • A continuous improvement mindset and strong troubleshooting skills;
