We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the delivery of civil infrastructure projects in the renewable energy sector.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in designing and delivering complex multidisciplinary design packages, including solar farms, wind farms, substations, battery storage facilities, and pumped hydro schemes.

They will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver civil infrastructure components of renewable energy projects, including road geometry, earthworks, drainage, stormwater management, construction access, laydown areas, and temporary works.
  • Provide technical leadership across various aspects of project delivery, including feasibility studies, detailed design, and construction support.
  • Drive constructability, cost-efficiency, and risk mitigation throughout all design phases.
  • Integrate environmental, geotechnical, and hydrological inputs into practical and innovative civil solutions.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and contribute to technical capability uplift across the organization's civil and renewables practice.
  • Act as civil engineering lead during client reviews, technical workshops, and industry engagement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) required.
  • Registration on the National Engineering Register (NER) required.
  • RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland) preferred.
  • RPEV (Registered Professional Engineer of Victoria) preferred.
  • 20+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a mix of road and infrastructure delivery and renewable energy project involvement.
  • Demonstrated experience on projects for solar farms, wind farms, substations, BESS, and/or pumped hydro schemes.
  • Proven ability to lead complex multidisciplinary design packages and interface with contractors, utilities, and government stakeholders.
