We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated support worker to provide community access, social support, transport, and domestic assistance to individuals in need.

The successful candidate will be responsible for helping clients live independently by offering emotional support and practical assistance.

Main Responsibilities:

- Accompany clients to appointments, outings, and social activities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Assist with domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and shopping, promoting a clean and organized living environment for clients.
- Provide emotional support and companionship, actively listening to clients and engaging in meaningful conversations.
- Understand individual client needs and preferences to provide personalized support.
- Encourage and assist clients in participating in community activities, promoting social integration and a sense of belonging.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions, progress, and any incidents or concerns.
- Develop skills and knowledge through training opportunities to enhance the quality of care provided.

Key Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a similar support worker role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Warm and caring personality with a genuine passion for helping others.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to establish rapport with clients.
- Compassionate nature, showing empathy and understanding towards the challenges faced by individuals in need.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, prioritising tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and flexibility.
- Understanding and respect for diversity, promoting inclusive practices in all aspects of support.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for transportation purposes with comprehensive car insurance.
- Possession of relevant certifications or qualifications in social work, healthcare, or a related field is an asset.

- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Current Driver's License and reliable car with full comprehensive insurance
- Police Check (within last 12 months)
- Reliable, Flexible, Compassionate, Resilient and Emotionally Intelligent
- NDIS Orientation & Covid Infection Control Modules

We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate your availability. We are available on Fridays from 10:00am-12:30pm.
