Collection Leader

We seek a skilled Collection Leader to oversee the preservation and enhancement of historical collections. This pivotal role is responsible for leading projects that improve access and conservation.

About the Position:

The successful applicant will manage digital assets, rights, and ensure the delivery of projects through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Develop and implement strategies to preserve social history and technology collections
  • Utilize expertise in collection management systems like KE EMu and MVWISE
  • Manage complex projects using strong project management principles
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to foster a culture of excellence within the team

Extensive experience in museum collection management and systems like KE EMu and MVWISE is essential, as well as familiarity with digital asset management systems (DAMs) and digital archiving systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate ability to deliver complex projects aligned with organisational goals, strong leadership and team management skills, excellent organisational, time management, and communication abilities.

The selected candidate will be an exceptional leader who can leverage their knowledge and expertise to drive strategic initiatives forward. They must possess a deep understanding of collection management principles, have experience working with digital assets, and be proficient in leading teams and managing projects.
