Senior Curator of Historical and Technological Collections

A prestigious museum organization is seeking a senior collection manager to oversee the management of its historical and technological collections.
The successful applicant will be responsible for leading and implementing collection management activities within the history and technology department. They will focus on enhancing access and preservation, managing digital assets and rights, and ensuring successful project delivery through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and implement strategies for preserving and making accessible historical and technological collections.
- Leverage expertise in collection management systems and digital asset tools to optimize collection access and preservation.
- Plan and deliver projects using strong project management principles to achieve impactful outcomes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and foster a culture of growth and excellence within the team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing effective collection management strategies.
- Overseeing the use of collection management software and digital asset tools to enhance collection access and preservation.
- Mentoring team members and overseeing contract staff to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements include extensive experience in museum collection management, proven ability to deliver complex projects, strong leadership and team management skills, excellent organizational and communication abilities.
