We are seeking volunteers to visit seniors in their homes and provide companionship, social interaction, and emotional support. This role involves engaging in conversations, playing games, and sharing interests and hobbies with seniors.

As a community visitor, you will have the opportunity to learn from those wiser, develop meaningful relationships, and make a positive impact in the lives of seniors. You will also have the flexibility to commit to a minimum of 1 hour per week/fortnight over a period of 6 months.

Our ideal volunteer is compassionate, patient, and a good listener, with a friendly and cheerful spirit. They are able to travel to clients in the community or their homes and are willing to undergo a free national police check.

During your visits, you will have the opportunity to participate in activities such as:

  • Engaging in conversations and listening to seniors' life stories">
  • Playing games, puzzles, or watching movies together">
  • Sharing interests and hobbies, such as gardening, cooking, or art">
  • Accompanying seniors to local events and outings, promoting their social connection and community engagement">
