The Opportunity

As a Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and calibrating ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical equipment across various medical facilities. You will work closely with a dedicated team of engineers, clinicians, and support staff to ensure optimal performance and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on ophthalmic devices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot technical issues promptly.
  • Perform preventive maintenance checks to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Document service activities accurately and maintain service records.
  • Participate in equipment installations and upgrades.
  • Perform service for metropolitan and regional customers.

Requirements
  • Formal qualifications in an IT/Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical field.
  • Experience servicing ophthalmic or other precision medical equipment, but not essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and understanding of schematics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
