About the Opportunity
Mars Recruitment is seeking an experienced Locum Mental Health Clinician to join our team in Regional NSW. This 12-week contract offers a competitive hourly rate between $75 and $85 + super.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert mental health consultation services in an emergency environment, conducting assessments, crisis interventions, and developing immediate care plans.
- Work closely with emergency department staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide support and resources to patients and their families during crises, ensuring continuity of care by coordinating with community mental health services post-discharge.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant mental health field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a mental health setting, preferably in emergency or acute care.
- Current registration with the appropriate Australian professional body (e.g., AASW, AHPRA)
- Strong crisis intervention skills and ability to work under pressure, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
