AOD Support Worker Opportunity

This role involves providing practical and emotional support to participants in a residential rehabilitation program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish effective relationships with participants and deliver relevant intervention, including psycho-social educational groups.
  • Organize engaging social activities to maintain participant participation.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve optimal outcomes for participants.
  • Manage participant behavior in accordance with program policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and data.
  • Conduct scheduled and random breathalyzer and urine screenings.
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree qualification in a related field such as social work, psychology, or addiction counseling.
  • Experience working in a social service environment and AOD sector.
  • Knowledge of working with diverse populations and complex support needs.
  • Certificate IV in Community Services or equivalent.
  • National Police check and VIC Employee Working with Children Check.
