Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Northern Water Treatment Plant maintenance team.

  • This is a full-time DIDO position based in Woleebee Creek, with fuel compensation provided
  • Meals and camp accommodation will be provided
  • The opportunity for career progression within the business exists
Responsibilities
  • Maintain, repair, and overhaul pumps, mixers, mechanical seals, and other rotating equipment and plant systems
  • Ensure personnel, plant, and environment safety at all times
  • Replace bearings, mechanical seals, and pump alignments as allocated by supervisor, and complete other tasks assigned
  • Communicate hazards, issues, or faults to maintain smooth operations
  • Complete all required documentation for completed tasks
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience working as a Fitter & Turner in a heavy industrial environment is essential
  • Experience with pumps, mixers, mechanical seals, and other rotating equipment is necessary, including pipe and static equipment system maintenance
  • Flexibility and adaptability are required as the business demands, with minimal supervision
  • Computer literacy is required, with intermediate level skills using MS Office and CMMS
  • Knowledge of mechanical seals and condition monitoring is advantageous
