About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Leader to join our Building Structures group in Melbourne. As a BIM Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating project requirements, allocating modeling resources, and utilizing BIM tools and workflows to deliver structural projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project requirements and allocate modeling resources
  • Utilize BIM tools and workflows to deliver a range of structural projects
  • Interpret BIM requirements and implement suitable BIM protocols for projects
  • Ensure that accurate drawings and registration systems are produced according to supplied specifications and applicable standards, internal and external
  • Implement or Review BIM Execution Plans / Management Plans for projects
  • Maintain technical standards as per contractual obligations
  • Expertly liaise with high level external stakeholders and clients
  • Manage BIM Team/s within Victoria and liaise with National teams
  • Implement required training and upskilling of Victorian staff
  • Contribute to National Innovation, Quality and Business Education Initiatives
  • Review inputs to technical standard and protocols with National Teams
  • Boost team culture and collaboration with the team
About You

The successful candidate will typically have 12+ years of experience and have:

  • Extensive experience working within Structures as a BIM Coordinator/BIM Leader
  • Personal and technical skills to represent the company at an internal, external and management level
  • The ability to demonstrate leadership in a team environment including managing resources and developing team skills
  • Excellent proficiency in Revit, Navisworks and various BIM systems
  • Recognised expert in technical discipline at a regional level with broad experience in providing key technical expertise across a wide range of diverse and complex projects
  • Advanced skills in modelling & detailing complex designs
  • Advanced knowledge of BIM and design led BIM within Property disciplines, project models and appreciation of multidisciplinary BIM process
  • Highly skilled in complex designs and Coordination management
  • Experienced in developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Advanced knowledge in all manners of Construction Methodology & Project Delivery methods
  • Proven ability in building the technical capability of business scale teams
  • Advanced skills in the management of model metadata including the application of classification systems and other data schema across large and diverse projects
  • Advanced project information management expertise and able to implement best-practice workflows at business and major project level
  • Advanced understanding of 3,4,5 D
