Job Title: Senior Network Engineer

As a leading expert in network solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing complex network architectures, ensuring the secure and efficient transmission of data.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, with the ability to develop and evaluate alternatives to determine the best value based on customer-provided performance weighting. Strong verbal communication skills, including both speaking and listening to customers, are also essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing network solutions aligned with AIR6500 requirements and technology strategy.
  • Facilitating stakeholder meetings to gather, clarify, and document business and technical requirements.
  • Implementing cyber security measures into network designs, validating the effectiveness of proposed network architecture against these security requirements.
  • Evaluating and analysing technology options, defining selection criteria and documenting assessments.
  • Contributing to the design, creation, implementation, and maintenance of network security solutions, including firewalls, load balances, virtual appliances, VPNs, as well as cloud-native routing and switching technologies.
  • Contribution to the development of security by design into the Network Architecture.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Familiarity with software-defined networking.
  • Experience with network management systems.
  • Experience with Voice, Mobile, Data, and Satellite connectivity.
  • Experience in designing and implementing complex network architectures.
  • Experience with Python, Unix/Linux.
  • Knowledge in routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
  • Relevant qualifications, experience or certifications (e.g. CCNP/CCIE).
  • Awareness of Security frameworks, governance, and compliance (e.g. ISM, DSPF and PSPF).
