About the Opportunity

Our team is seeking an experienced Aviation Technical Trainer to perform interesting work and contribute to project delivery. This is a permanent, full-time position with opportunities to work on a state-of-the-art aircraft.

The HAWK Lead-in Fighter (LIF) is a renowned advanced military jet trainer aircraft with over 35 years of fast jet training experience. As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of future aviation technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical training, including workplace inductions, utilizing contemporary learning strategies while adapting to different learning styles.
  • Collaborate with training providers to enhance Aeroskills training and support apprenticeship programs through collaborative efforts with industry partners.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to ensure successful skill development for apprentices and Vocational Education and Training (VET) students.
  • Develop and implement technical assessment strategies that align with VET and apprenticeship assessment frameworks, including the verification of competencies.
  • Monitor learner progress and performance in line with business requirements and training frameworks.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and provide advice on training services.
About You

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Aviation technical experience and experience in training or learning and development.
  • A Certificate 4 in Aeroskills or equivalent, good computer skills, and knowledge of industry qualifications.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage and support technical workforce learners.
  • Experience with training management systems and adaptability in delivery style to suit learner needs.
  • A continuous improvement mind-set, self-management skills, and demonstrated ability to work independently.
