Job Role Overview

This community-based position involves supporting elderly clients in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have flexible availability and be comfortable traveling between clients, transporting them when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal care: assisting with showering, dressing, grooming, and medication management.
  • Social support/transportation for social activities, shopping/groceries, medical appointments.
  • Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry, meal preparation.
  • Aiding customers with the use of personal equipment.
  • Supporting customers with complex or challenging needs.
  • Monitoring customer well-being and reporting progress.
  • Providing updates on customer progress following each service.

About You:

  • Caring, compassionate, and friendly individual.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective written/verbal communication.
  • Reliable and dependable team player.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish positive working relationships.
  • Comfortable using technology for accessing schedules and recording customer feedback.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Individual Support, or Disability Services.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Valid police check (less than 6 months old).
  • Australian Driver's License and comprehensive insurance for personal vehicle.
  • Smart phone with internet access.
  • COVID-19 vaccination status (double-dosed).
