Project OverviewA leading energy company is seeking a seasoned project director to oversee the delivery of electrical infrastructure projects across the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).
This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and hands-on professional to lead project planning, execution, and management, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and meeting contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including field crews, subcontractors, and vendors, to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
- Champion safety and compliance by conducting regular site audits, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring all activities align with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, to ensure program profitability.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and external partners to support project success and resolve issues proactively.
- Review and approve scopes of work and quotes, ensuring accuracy, alignment with project goals, and compliance with financial and operational standards.
- Monitor and manage plant, equipment, and materials, ensuring optimal utilization, maintenance, and availability to support uninterrupted project delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance safety, efficiency, and team performance, and implementing practical solutions that add value to the business.
- Trade qualification in electrical or related field.
- At least 5 years' experience in the electrical industry, with proven leadership experience managing crews and contractors.
- Strong financial oversight and project management skills.
- Solid understanding of safety standards and compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools.
