About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Nurse/Midwife to fill this key leadership position. As a successful applicant, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing strategic and clinical leadership for the Women's Emergency Care Unit in collaboration with the Directors of Women's Health and the Director of WEC (Medical)
  • Leading a team of staff, appraising their performance, and ensuring they receive appropriate training and development opportunities
  • Managing staffing levels and leading recruitment efforts within the Women's Emergency Care and Admissions areas
  • Assisting with organizational change initiatives and promoting professional standards of Nursing and Midwifery Practice within the Unit

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Recent experience in a managerial/leadership position within a healthcare setting
  • A degree in Nursing and/or Midwifery that meets AHPRA registration requirements
  • High-level clinical nursing/midwifery experience with a thorough understanding of emergency care principles
  • Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including effective communication with staff, patients, and other departments
